Areas of research interests: oncology, genetics, oncogenetics, cytology, entomology, population biology. For a long time, he studied the role of centromeres in the process of oncogenesis. He studied the cytogenetics and cytology of acute leukemias and lymphomas in children, the phenomenon of premature separation of centromeres in oncogenesis. In addition to these studies, since 2000 he has conducted research in the field of entomology and population biology of insects. He created a zoological museum at the Precarpathian National University. Writer, author of 5 books of poetry and prose: “Notes of a Hermit”, “Stone Tram”, “Petroglyphs”, “Book of Ruins”, “Lord of Autumn”.

For 21 years (1999 – 2020) he teaches at the university such subjects as genetics, radiobiology, entomology, population biology. He led a research entomological group at the university, the work of the zoological museum, scientific circles in schools. Under his leadership, diploma works are performed at the university every year. Author of textbooks for university students in genetics, biology of individual development, population biology.
